Normally the input impedance should be much higher than the output impedance. But in certain cases we want the two to match.
|
||||
|
||||
**Example:**

When we connect a Antenna with a $50\ohm$ input impedance to an amplifier circuit. When the input impedance of the antenna is equal to the output impedance of the amplifier we achieve **Maximum Power Transfer**. Power Transfer in this case is $P = VI$.
